Is it normal to not know what to do?

I have two jobs in front of me : Job 1 pays double of job 2 but job 1 makes be away from my home for 6 months out of the year.. Job one 1 i would be home ever night... Which one should I take?

      Take the money job. You'll still get half the year at home.

      Take it from a dumb bird who has worked in a similar capacity for a long time.

      Who wants to come home poor every night and eat ramen noodles?

    You are still listening to brain-dead politicians.

    A 'job', is only a part of 'work'.
    When the 'work' dries up (which it will), you will be out of a 'job'.

    You should be looking for meaningful 'work', in a sustainable industry or occupation, instead.

        That's part of the problem.

        There's more than enough meaningful work available for everyone, but the greedy people keep us in this perpetual cycle of servitude, doing meaningless chores, with no foresight for the future.

        Soon there will be no work or welfare for anyone, unless we change things in a hurry.

          Chores must be done, we cannot all live in the intellectual ether as you so obviously do.

          And I'm pretty sure a smart feller like yourself understands the absolutely poignant and well-targeted reference. It ain't an asteroid.

          (I'm sure I've broken a rule using the word "ain't", but without your entire rulebook to study and understand, how am I to properly conform to the spirit of your worldview ? )

            I've done more than my fair share of actual hard work, in the real world.

            I understand this, and I have considered it carefully. This is a major fault with the intelligentsia and academia, too much thinking and studying, and not enough doing.

    Yeah I'm married and have two small boys and another on the way.. The job that pays a lot is offshore what I use to do and the other is in the office for offshore but dosent pay as much...

      You need to decide what is more important to you. I say take job 2, but I don't know your financial situation. If you need more money for food and doctors appointments, I would take job 1.

    It depends. If you have small children and a partner it would be most difficult to leave home but if you're free then I don't see why you wouldn't take the chance of making some savings.

    Are you just afraid of change or??
