Is it normal to not know wether to play safe or to take risks

I dream of becoming and actress and go to. Regular drama school. However my parents think at college I should study practicle subjects because very few people In the acting industry make it. I believe them to an extent but I will regret it so much if I don't even try to make it because failure isn't an option for me. What do I do? Risk everything and go for drama or play safe and give up

Is It Normal?

  • Yes, this is normal; however I believe that people need to mature enough as teenagers in order to differentiate between risk and safety or perhaps right and wrong. Too many stupid people live in this world that take really poor routes in life. Don't allow the return of risk coax you into a sticky situation.

  • Why give it up? Do something practical that will get u a career and do acting and drama in your spare time, as a hobby. If your acting takes off in the mean time, go for that instead.

  • It's your life, not your parents, they just want you to succeed in life and may be worrying that if you do continue you may fail, but really follow your heart and do whatever it tells you to do odon't do what everyone else says.
