I read the first couple lines and was like "damn, this sounds like me and my best friend" the thing is now we're not friends, I'm glad but then I'm upset at the same time. We'd bicker so much! We couldn't go a day without arguing but yet when we didn't speak to each other we'd feel lost and lonely.
In the end I just got tired, we both had other close friends too, so we wouldn't talk for ages like a week, two weeks after arguments, eventually we stopped talking full stop. That was a year ago and I still miss her but life goes on, it's not worth it.
Never subject yourself to one party meaning don't just have one close friend have a whole group.
Talk to her, you're both going through it, you need some space, to just hang out with other people, if you prefer their company you don't just have to cut her off but distance yourselves, you were probably too close.
Is it normal to not know if u want to be best friends with someone?
