She should see a doctor if she doesn't get it by the time she's 16 but the normal variation is very wide and it could still be normal as long as she gets it by the time she's 18.
Nobody should try to become gay, just like nobody should try to become straight. Either she's gay or she's not. Trying to be gay if she's straight will not work and will hurt her and any girls she tries to have relationships with.
