Is it normal to not have permanent emotions towards people?

Ever since I was little I've had an inability with keeping emotions with my relationships. (platonic, romantic, etc) An easier way I usually explain it to people is I don't have object permanence with people. A few examples is my brothers have moved away and because they aren't near me, I don't give a crap about them really. My mother is in bed right now, I don't care about her. When I'm not hanging out with my friends, they aren't my friends anymore.

I genuinely wish this was different but I don't know whether or not it's normal or not, I can't help it at all I just have to fake it a majority of the time, like, for instance, one of my brothers came back home for Christmas last year and was really ill mentally, I genuinely pretended to care just like everyone else and I disgusting that I have to fake it.

I know that I come across as edgy but I just need to know if there are other people who are completely devoid of emotion towards people when they aren't there

Maybe you're a psychopath. Its not always a bad thing. Psychopaths are usually brave and smart and shit. Do you have narcissistic tendencies?

maybe the reason behind being like that is that you think of yourself that way in your mind. Actually I'm interested in the majestic power of mind the past few days. And through what I've seen on the internet maybe hypnotherapy can help you, or you can just think deeply inside your mind that you do have permanent feelings for people, especially your mother.
Think of it that way, your mother might have been through a lot of bad situations and real pain when giving birth to u and your brother shares you the same parents, and stood by you in ups and downs. Family is important and keeping your feelings for is just as important :)

You could have a form of autism (and I'm not saying that as a insult) or some other disorder.
It is not "normal" but it's great if you're aware of it.
I can't give you a solution but you should maybe talk about it with someone you trust or a shrink.
    Don't give up!
