Is it normal to not have friends?

I am a senior in college, but in my four years I haven't had a friend who was a college student. I was friends with the people i used to work with but, that stopped after i quit smoking pot, since i felt that that was all we ever did (and i they used to steal money from me)

I got one friend I see two or three times a year. I'm 34 and have never had many friends. It's not normal but it happens, I guess.

    Friends come and go, anyways.

JDoe speaks truth. The best friends I've known came from a team I joined in school. Clubs and activities are there for you. Take advantage of them!

Remember these words; when you're on your death bed in the hospital at whatever senior age, you can only count the number of "true" friends you have on one hand.

Yes agreed pat urself on the back for making urself a better person , u don't need ppl who are not good for u, they
    Are not really your friends!
I beat a addiction 5 yrs ago and had kids then became a single mum so I too don't have friends but I'd rather be a good person I find it easy to make friends but don't get out so start by doin things you enjoy and meeting like minded decent people of any age , good luck

I don't have many friends either but I don't feel that I am really missing by not having them. Most the actives I enjoy are solitary, reading, and video games. I don't find many people that I share interests with. When I was in High School I forced myself to hang around with people that I really did not like and had nothing in common with so that I would not be loner and seem odd to others. If I could do it over I would rather be alone doing things that interest me that being with others just to pass the time. Once you become an adult and enter into a serious relationship friends fall by the wayside anyway as your focus becomes job, spouse, and family.
