Be a friend to yourself first. And take your time in doing this. There is no need to rush out and try to make friends. I tried that and that has been one of my biggest regrets and I don't have one friend to show for it. People can be deceiving. It takes time to make real friends. So be a friend to yourself first. Ask yourself what it is you like to do. I know God gave you a gift or talent. Pursue it 100%. Whatever it is. I've decided that I want to be a playwright. So what I'll be doing is writing a play and then putting out a notice to get people together to read the play. I've already called the library and they've said I can reserve a room there for 25 dollars and I'll get that money back just as long as we keep the place nice after we leave. This will not only allow me to meet people who have interests like mine but it's a social outlet. And who knows, I may make some friends out of the experience. And please don't put all of your enjoyment into your boyfriend. As a matter of fact, don't put all of yourself into any human being because the one thing you can depend on when it comes to people is that people are undependable. The bottom line is open your net wide, don't ever narrow yourself to kinds of people you meet, no matter what race or age. The world is big. And when you feel the time is right, get on out there and enjoy it!
