Matter of fact, I know girls like that (when I say know, I mean simply "know of"). There is absolutely nothing wrong with them whatsoever, but for some reason guys just don't really think of them in that way, or act upon it at least.
My guess is that a. you aren't missing out on that much, in reality (at 18, and a fair bit beyond, I think the overwhelming majority of dating is fairly superficial), and that b. if you really wanted to, it wouldn't be all that hard to get attention from guys (be careful though, you might end up regretting it).
