Is it normal to not find men attractive?

I'm a 17 year old female and, unlike all my friends, I feel no attraction to men. When I see a shirtless muscular man I feel nothing, men that make other girls swoon provoke no reaction in me.

I had a boyfriend a few years ago, mostly due to curiousity and peer pressure, but although I liked him as a person I didn't think he was "cute" or "sexy", and never wanted to do more than hand holding and occasionally have a quick kiss. I should add that I'm not asexual, I just feel nothing towards boys/men.

So, fellow females, is this normal? Do you actually find men attractive or do you just say you do to follow social convention? I would appreciate honest answers, would you say this was normal?

      At times. I often see pretty girls, and instead of envying them I just want to look at them and appriciate their beauty.

      I'd rather kiss a girl than a guy just because they seem cleaner, gentler and just generally more kissable.

      I wasn't sure if other girls were exergarating their attraction, seeing as women usually have lower sex-drives than men I thought maybe having very low levels of attraction, or none in my case, would be normal too.

      Sorry if my question seemed a little pointless, I don't have anyone I can comfortably talk to about this.

        No ,I'm sorry I didn't want to be rude. And I guess these things are confusing. I mean, I think I am straight because.. I can say when men are hot, and when women are hot too. But when I see a girl that is pretty, I don't stare at her boobs and think I want to touch her, I usually think "F**k she's so pretty I'm jealous, her life must be so cool". So I'm kinda thinking you and I are different because we react different. And when I see a guy I do wish he would hug me and I find myself staring at him just because.

          Although I got to say. When I see these guys that have 6 packs that are all about the gym, I also feel nothing. I even feel disgust. I never really liked these kind of people. So, I wouldn't worry. I think you will meet a person who you will really like and you will see if it's a she or a he :p
