You're not very far removed from being a teenager, so that's fully understandable. Our socially determined age of majority is not linked to any particular physical or psychological development, just the general point of most people's lives where actions are sufficiently reasoned. People change very slowly and often indeterminably, until these "a-ha" moments where the cascade of personal differences becomes tangible. For now, just make a quantifiable list of the thoughts and beliefs you had as a young child and compare them with nuance. You will certainly find a substantial difference. Being a college age guy, you will still hang out with buds, play video games and do dumb stuff. You're still very different from the child who did the same things.
