If you are a girl, then yes it is very normal. Like anything else, you rarely get it right the first time and with sex there are physical reasons why the first (or actually the first few) times don't feel good for some.
But don't give up. If you haven't found an older, attentive, loving man yet, go find one.
No young 'pretty boy' is going to have the experience, patience or desire that an older, more mature lover will have, nor will he be willing to concentrate on YOUR pleasure, rather than his own.
