Personally I think you are very sensible. You should have your education and career sorted without any man holding you back by wanting your time and attention.
I do agree with Alison89 that all relationships teach us lessons but at least you will be comfortable with yourself as a 'single' and not be one of those needy clingy and hence boring women men can't stand.
I wish you all the luck in the world. Most women are too keen to tie themselves into relationships while they are still too young and should be out partying - without some man trying to control their actions.
