Is it normal to not care AT ALL about school?

  • Yes, that is very normal, especially during the last few months (or even the last few years) of school. I think almost everyone feels like that to a certain extent. There are a lot of emotions that come into play around graduation time that can leave you feeling like you just don't care. It's part stress, part worry about the future, part sadness, part excitment, part boredom with routine. I think the best thing you can do is just force yourself to do the best you can considering how you feel. I would at least aim for Cs in your classes rather than Ds. I mean you've been in school for more than a decade, so you might as well put up with it for eight more weeks, and then you will be done. If you are planning to go to college, consider taking a few months to a full year off (if possible) to decompress before you go. You will probably feel more like getting back into school once you've had a good break. Hang in there, it will be over before you know it!
