A wiser man than I once said; "find a job you love doing and you never have to wake up and go to work again".
I have a mechanical engineering degree and I've only worked in a position that required it for 6 months. I hated everything about my life for those 6 months. I just cant sit in an office behind a computer all day. I was born with a strong body built for labor with hands that have a knack for creation. I have a need to feel the sun and rain on my face. I left that cubicle hell and returned to my family's trade. I'm now a 4th generation carpenter and I couldnt imagine life any other way. My friends I grew up with are all working "professional" careers. We are all nearing 40 and while I am constantly told I look no older than my late 20s they are bald, fat and appear to be in their 50s. Most have health problems. My point is, there is nobility in every position. Without the warehouse worker or the cook, the store clerk, trash collector, our society would be non functional. Find a task that suits you and breath deep. Contentment is yours for the taking.
P.s. I've never wanted to or have been married or had children.i live on my own and my life is filled with sunny days. The storm clouds of depression cant seem to close the distance to darken my way. Good luck to you.....
