You are definitely NOT normal. Everybody except you (and I) need the very latest, and not necessarily the greatest, thing on the market. A new car, phone, tablet, computer; you name it. That's what keeps the rich, rich. They spend gazillions of dollars on ads to convince us that we need the newest and bestest thing they have for us. And those ads have convinced so many of us that having a new, fancy, expensive car, driving right next to my 20 year old, super reliable, paid for Toyota pick up (which means we are in exactly the same place, going the same way, at the same moment), makes them smarter and better than I am. Go figure?
Good on you for resisting their brainwashing, but let's hope there aren't any others like us out there, or the world economy would collapse overnight.
Is it normal to not care about new technologies?
