It depends on what your workout consists of. Some people will do a very light exercise and doing something like that might leave you feeling energized, but if you are doing harder workouts then you should feel drained afterwards.
I do go pretty hard at the weights. I figure if I've bothered to go to the gym I should make it count and lift heavy.
