Is it normal to not be disgusted

I was on r/mde, and I saw a picture of a bunch of Africans that had tied up and we're torturing a white boer farmer in South Africa. It was graphic but I barely reacted to it, I took it with as much intensity as I would a guide on how to make grilled cheese. It just didn't really register maybe.

  • Imma say normal. I had a ton of suppressed ire and rage when I was 13. I used to enjoy watching violent content, or it wouldn't bother me one bit to see the most violent of stuff.

Now, my emotions have faded more into depression, and after cooling off, I have more empathy.

I can still watch stuff like you described, but it bothers me a little more now.

I have seen pictures of blacks getting lynched and whites making fun of them or making memes out of it or people saying that American natives losing their land was a good thing.

It's disgusting when anyone makes fun of people dead or dying but why is it that some whites act like the world is only targeting them.

It's werid how a group that controls much of the planet feels like it's constantly under attack.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole or anything but it's getting really old really fast.

If you're disgusted by a picture you need to try living real life

Idk what r/mode is but there is a huge faction of western white people that are so overdosed on political correctness that they will not only ignore atrocities committed by non whites, they actually condone it.

Oh my god nobody is ignoring atrocities committed by non whites. Did you know that most victims attacked by black South Africans are other African nationals then Asians(Indians and Chinese)then lastly whites. The world isn't so simple I'm just saying.

A few months back I read that their government is taking farms/homes/land from whites without paying them for it. I'd love to move to another country, but South Africa will definitely not be the one I go to.

It's a never ending cycle of stupidity. The whites stole land from blacks the blacks are stealing land from whites. It's a us vs them mindset I think its stupid but I can see how it got there. It's hard to break the cycle when you have the fact that idiots from the past created the reality that is now. It's depressing when it's clear that the current ruling class of SA is robbing the majority but all they have to do is point at the minority and the majority will act like the good dogs they are. Majorities of any country is a problem because they are easy to trick.

Yeah this is why I don't get into politics. It's just a bunch of manipulative stuff. You make such a good point.

And didn't white people take the land in the first place without paying for it? Not to mention the profits from mining and other industries based on virtual or actual slavery.

I'm not condoning the atrocities, but fair is fair.

I know a few of my fellow Hispanics in my town that believe that white people should be required to give up their stuff to blacks and Hispanics and I don't know, I'm no expert on the world and am therefore not qualified to talk about it, but the idea of punishing someone for the sins of their ancestors just doesn't set well with me.

How is it fair to punish innocent people because of the sins of their ancestors? Purely because they have the same skin color? That is racist and as evil as the initial crimes of not more so because humans should know better now.

I don't see it as fair either. I feel like there are other ways to help people. I don't know what they are since I'm no expert, but that ones not it.

I'm guessing it doesn't sit well with you because you are white? In fact in the case of the usa it's the Native Americans who had land stolen from them and were subjected to near genocide, which isn't to say white america has treated hispanics and black people fairly

I did say I'm Hispanic. Like I said before I just don't like the idea of punishing someone over things their ancestors did. I'm also actually pretty ashamed of those white bashing racist Hispanics in my town. They act entitled and like white people owe them stuff and I don't think I'm owed anything. They did manage to accidently create more Trump supporters with that mentality and that's not the thing the US needs right now. XD

The color of the people who took the land has no validity.
