Is it normal to not be cynical?

I used to be, I went through this stage where I was very cynical. But I watched the last conan o'brien show and it was so weird he looked right into the camera and said for all the young people out there to not be cynical, that that was his advice. LOL I was like "ummm..." so after that I gradually stopped and now I'm not cynical anymore. I know that some people are stupid and ignorant but I know that there are still a lot of good people out there that aren't.

Is It Normal?

  • It's true. Cynicism really is a disease, and it has infected our generation. It keeps you from believing in your and other people's potential and doesn't do anything productive whatsoever.

  • Look up a clip by "The Onion" about a (fake) pill called "Despondex." It a drug the depresses people that are overly happy.

  • Haha!!! I saw that too! I must say it did have an impact on me. The thing about cynicism and its counter part is that they both spread. Optimism, like cynicism, can cause other individuals to be inspired by your actions.
