Is it normal to not be able to open your eyelids when they're wet?

Like even in the shower I have to dry my eyelids off before I open them, I just can't open them after my head has been under the shower head. Also, I've never been able to go underwater without goggles on, to keep my eyelids dry. Just the feeling of them being wet, my eyes just can't open. I'm oddly ok with eye drops though. @.@ I can swim, it didn't stop me from learning how to swim.

    i have showered with a lot of men on sports teams , military , and see guys with eyes closed. and women as well.
