Is it normal to not be able to feel your skin?

Is it normal to not be able to feel your skin unless something or someone touches it? i've been wondering this ever since i was like, 3 and always thought something was wrong with me,even begged my mom to take me to the doctors (yes i am a hypercondriact but still...) and she never listened so i'd wonder. i mean i can FEEL things, like touching a blanket, soft kitten, or hard cement, but i can't FEEL my skin. i CAN feel it if i'm hurt or have a paper cut or some 2 inch wasp bit me but i just can't feel my skin. Can anyone else not feel thier skin?

Is It Normal?

  • If you were actually able to feel the same way when you touch yourself (not dirty) as if somebody else touched you, you won't be able to stay asleep 'think about it'

  • I don't feel my skin unless it's being touched by something. I think everyone is like that.
