Perhaps your dad just doesn't want to hear it, because maybe his little girl IS his favorite and he feels guilty. Deal with it and realize that life is just like that. You've probably got another 60 or 70 years of inequality in front of you and buddy, you've just got to be happy with a flip phone, rather than no phone at all.
