Is it normal to not answer posts?

I find I am reluctant to answer any post with a lot of spelling errors because this seems to be a signal that trolls use. Does anyone else do this? Or am I just jaded?

Spelling errors piss me off, but they're par for the course in our generation. The easier you make something, the less attention it gets. We all see red lines under misspelled words, there exists grammar checking software so... why? Do people just not care? My point is, don't brush off posts with spelling errors as being trolls. Sincerity can be found if you use your judgement. Just keep in mind that people rush, and no one cares about spelling anymore.

Totally normal. If there's one or two typos it's understandable, but if there's a lot, I'm not gonna bother trying to decipher it most of the time. Even if it's easily decipherable, I still wouldn't feel like giving any kind of advice to somebody who's lazy enough to make a shitload of typos without even fixing them, since they likely won't bother listening to any of it anyway.

I try to answer every post seriously. At worst, I have possibly annoyed a troll with a genuine answer. At best I help reassure someone whose grammar sucks. I call that a win win.

I can cope with a few spelling and grammar mistakes. What really irks me is the occasional long post with no punctuation. Those are readable only with a lot of effort, and I just can't be bothered to invest the time necessary.
