    I don't know if it is common but I was like this not too long ago. I think all you want is companionship but are too scared to go after it. I think it's smart that you try not to confuse kindness with infatuation. However, it appears to be detrimental to your quest to find love. In all honesty, I think that you should march up to that girl and ask her out, not through facebook but in person. If she says no then it's her loss and you can still hang your head up high because at least you put in the effort towards acquiring a romance. I think you'll make some lucky girl happy one day, why not make this girl the one?
