Plenty of people are in your shoes, myself included (although I'm younger). Honestly, the best advice I can give would be to put yourself out there. If you see a pretty girl talk to her; don't try to get in her pants, just see if you guys have stuff in common. If you guys have a lot in common then perhaps the relationship might grow into something more, otherwise, you've possibly just made a new friend.
