10%? That seems like a lot. That'd mean 1/10 of the people you meet are asexual. Are you sure it's not less?
To put things in perspective: 3.8% of the US population is gay or bisexual, and homosexuality is way more common than asexuality. I don't believe there are three times more asexuals than there are gays.

I don't recall the exact study so I wasn't able to look it up. I dunno maybe it was 1%.
