    I have pretty much the same lifestyle. I have the option of hanging out with my friends and partying on the weekends, but I'm actually really content with just being alone and staying home.

    I think your mom was just looking for something to say that might upset you in the heat of the moment.

    If you're happy the way you are, then continue to be :)
