Is it normal to move where ever your crush would move too?

I like my friend but he likes someone else. The chick he likes is moving to get with her boyfriend. He told me before he would move but said he would come back because I cried that I did not want him to move. Yet, 2 days before his crush moves he told me he might move again. So, I told him if he moves do not bother talking to me. He said we would still be friends and he will talk to me but I told him he won't remember me anyways and that I don't need anymore long distance friends I have enough. He got real quiet but told me he was not sure but will know when his seasonal job is done. If he leaves how do you get over a guy that is your best friend and a crush?

    as corny as this may sound, time heals everything. i understand that it's a drag right now but for the next couple days, weeks, or month (depending on you..) the negative feelings will go away.
    plus, if there's no communication between you two there aren't any reminders of him leaving. giving you more room to cope and move on.

    and, you'll survive.
    he's not the only guy you'll fall for in your lifetime.
