Is it normal to mount a jolly roger flag on the roof?

My husband thinks it's a great idea to mount a flag pole on the top part of the roof of our house and fly a jolly roger flag. We live in a nice neighborhood and I'm worried our neighbors will take offence. We are not pirates.

Is It Normal?

    Oh, let him hoist the Jolly Roger. Do people in nice neighborhoods not have a sense of humor? Your husband sounds like fun.

    Full disclosure: I have a four-foot-tall winged stone gargoyle on my front porch. I may not be the best judge of appropriate exterior home decor.
