It's BS. 99.99% of people on the internet are completely safe to meet, even the trolls (they're all 20-50 year old beta males). The only thing you have to worry about is how boring and/or awkward it is meeting them.
Provide evidence for your percentage. I'm saying it's unsafe because you don't know the person you're meeting online. They might seem like a good person to lure you in. Actually, nevermind. There's no point in arguing with someone who believes humans are made up of a social order known as betas and alphas.
