We met when he was 16 and I was 15 at summer camp. We've been AIMing, Skype chatting, and phoning for the last 7 years. He's flying to visit me for three days this week. Is it normal?

    Update: we are dating long distance and it is awesome and good and sometimes scary and shiny and new. :)

    I met my best friend online, and only months later, drove to Virginia to meet him in person. Seems normal enough to me.

    People do without never having met the person. You met him in church camp, it would have been normal to meet years ago :)
