you're alright. girls did it too, i remember edging myself on the edge of a chair in 5th grade. saw one other girl that did it regularly. Its not socially acceptable, but I didn't know what i was doing, all I know is that it felt good. you were a kid, and its over now. frankly, it's an adults' responsibility, if they spot that behavior, to take the kid aside and patiently explain to them that it's something you do in private.
