    typical daydream

the real question is... when are you going to try asking him out. cos if he hasn't shown interest in over 2 years you may have to consider... asking him out or moving on

      Why?
Maybe she doesn't need to be WITH him, maybe it's just enough for her to know, that she loves him - regardless whether he loves her back.

Happened to some of us before ánd will probably happen again.

because i've been there and in the long run.... i threw away years pining after someone who didn't feel the same.

believe me ... loving someone who actually loves you back is MUCH more fulfilling than living in a pretend daydream

Well, my opinion differs from yours here. For me, feelings have to be unconditional. I don't wanna discuss "hoping4best"'s case without knowing this user, so here is the hypothetical situation:

Lets say, person A(Alex) loves person B(Bailey). Why would that depend on the feelings of B for A? The love is either there, or it's not.

What if Alex knows, that Bailey would be happier with someone else but him? Would A still try to force himself on B?

Btw, I respect your point of view, I'm just trying to understand it

o yes you can love someone who doesn't love you back
but will that be a *fulfilling* relationship?...

you may want to tell someone "o yes you'll be fulfilled by that" to make them feel better but... that may not be the truth.

from my own experience.... i had strong feelings for someone who liked me but ... not like that. it never went past friendship, and he never made a point of keeping in contact with me.

was it fulfilling? ... meh. i had good daydreams sure.
but when I met my BF... that's when everything clicked.

and pining for someone i cannot have... is not as good as having a relationship with someone who loves me back the way my BF does. ;)

Straight men give straight answers. Gay men give happy answers.

Totally normal. Sounds like you got it bad if after two years youre still digging this guy.

I love him. And i've tried everything in my power to be with him, but in vain. He doesnt like me,thats obvious and i know it for sure. But i still love him. These 'sexual fantasies' are all i've got of him :)
