Normally, I'm not a fan of older women with younger men, but with only a year or so difference, it's just numbers.
If any relationship lasts into middle age, many women begin to feel that as their looks fade, their men seem to get more attractive, and this can be especially more marked in a large gap, older woman scenario.
But a year or two shouldn't be of any concern.
Yeah, I think it's no difference at all and sadly, males die on average 7-10 years before women anyway so at least she'll have him a little longer!
i.e my great grandmother's husband died at 70 when she was 55 and she's been alone for the past 40 years as she's loved no one else. Sad but that's why I think it's actually better to date slightly younger or the same age as it's beneficial in the long run as well. :)

Yeah, a year is nothing but men die on average 7-10 years before woman so this is actually beneficial in that aspect at least. So if a woman dates an older guy by more than a few years, he will most likely die way before her and leave her alone for 20 or more years of her life. That's why in the long run, I think it's better to date younger or closer in age unless you don't mind them marrying another after you die/etc.
I.E My great grandmother married my great grandfather who was 15 years older than her but she loved him to pieces. But when she was just 55, he died at age 70. She's been alone ever since for the past 40 or so years.
IIN to make a big deal out of a 1 1/2 year age difference?
