Is it normal to lucid dream almost every night?

I've been lucid dreaming almost every night for years. Even though I know I'm dreaming, I can't always control what's going on. But it's gotten to the point where everything I do in one dream will continue in the next dream. For example, I have a house in my dream. The same house every single night. And if I redecorate it, everything I've changed is in my dream the day after. Or if I wake up in the middle of a conversation with a dream character, when I fall back asleep again, sometimes that character will ask me where I went and we'll continue the conversation (even though I'm aware it's all fake abyways). My dreams are so vivid and I remember almost all of them. Nobody I've ever spoken to has experienced anything like this. Is this normal for anybody else?

  • I wish I could do that. I don't normally have dreams but when I do I can never control them. Although I do know people can do that.

  • All of my dreams are lucid, and when I do dream most of the time I'll have sleep paralysis with a nightmare

  • I had a somewhat similar experience. I used to get sleep paralysis which led to the lucid dreams a few times a week. But now it hasn't been happening so often anymore. I don't know anyone that has that many lucid dreams. You might want to talk to a doctor about that but I'm sure it's far from being a serious issue.
