So she might not want you as a lover, but really you already loved her. Why do you need "girlfriend" to prove that? The important thing now is to not go chasing her, scaring her off with how much you love her. Tell her about the day you first met, you miss her, bring her back slowly, nothing serious. Do something that made you friends in the first place. Even if she didn't love you, she certainly had a friend. You. Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself - and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is.
Plz don't use my advise as a way to get her back, just use them so you can decide what you want to do with it.
God I really wish I could just talk to you, none of this comment crap. I'm sure you are a lovely person, just a little confused with the girl you think could be the one in your life, but haven't we all been there? This is normal, it is called being human.
I'm not sure if I'm the person you should be asking, you need to ask yourself. To be honest, what have you got to lose? You've lost her, and you've almost lost connection with her. If you go speak to her, try to clear the air and tell her as a friend, the truth really.
I would follow my heart, if I was certain that was my aim in life, I would go to her and tell her. If she does say she doesn't want to be your friend, I am terribly sorry. But then atleast you have your answer, and maybe you can move on.
