For me it must be a wool blanket----no matter the season! Also wear wool coats so I can "rub" on the go. I have 5 sisters and 4 brothers and they all know my jackets by the lapels! At night I rub my toes on the wool folds. I even travel with a strip of wool for hotel stays! Cannot sleep otherwise! I am 60! My 27 ear old daughter rubs satin (like on a baby blanket) and another daughter rubs her ear lobe! Never noticed anything with other 2 children.
For me, it is relaxing, comforting and puts me in a zone. If there are times when no wool is available, I will mimic the movement by rocking my foot back and forth!
I guess it is a harmless addiction but my question is "WHY"?
IIN to love to rub fabrics between my fingers?
