I too am part of this little gang. It's great to know there are others out there that have the same habit. Gotta love the internet. For the record, I prefer sheets to pillowcases. My family, wife and close friends know my 'secret'. They all think it's an extension of a childhood security blanket. I think that's patronising and incorrect. While it relaxes me, I don't think it's anything to do with my childhood. I just really like the feeling! The problem is I find it hard to stop. That's the bit that doesn't feel healthy. I was also concerned about my behaviour when I went travelling around Europe and tore off a strip of an old sheet to take with me. Passport. Check. Plane ticket. Check. Piece of old blanket. Check. Due to excessive use, it began to slowly disintegrate. Eventually I went swimming in Turkey and the last bit fell out of my velcro back pocket. I was initially really annoyed/panicked. Why I was I so stupid to swim with it. Why did I even have it with me on the beach (that's the more pertinent question). Then I felt liberated. I was free from my addiction. Today I remain free, though once a rubaholic...the pleasure remains and I still indulge in hotel sheets and upmarket restaurant tablecloths/napkins. But my house is off limits. Thanks to all for your honesty. You are not alone.
I order the Field Day 1st place thru 4th place ribbons...these work the best for me...they come in a package of fifty. I have them placed everywhere! lol I order them online from Positive Promotions : )
