This has always been really embarrassing for me, and so I've never told my friends or my long term partner. It's really a secret thing that I do- which maybe I'm ashamed of? ... I like the lining of pillow cases, I rip like a 3 inch piece off and twist the piece to a point. I then stroke the insides of my fingers with this "bit" I also suck my tongue whilst doing this. I've done this all my life. It started when I was a baby an I had a blanket- I loved the lining. After I lost my blanket I had to think of other ways to feed my habit- pillow case threads have the desired effect. I guess it acts as a stress relief. I do wish there was a name for it though, and to understand the possible psychological reasons behind it. I guess it's normal- each to their own as they say!
