I think it's because of the decadent society you live in that you think conservative woman (like you described) and lame is the same. People tend to judge person who doesn't act like them, who doesn't smoke or drink or do whatever the hell is considered "cool" these days. They tend to call them.. yeah lame. The thing is, are they really lame because they are smart, funny, kind... instead of messy, problematic? :)
so, it's totally normal. You should just feel comfortable with whatever you like. Because you like it, period.
