Probably because you imagine that it's only him who can make you feel the way you feel when you are around him, only him who appears to be the right one for you, but he’s not always right to you, is he? He loves you, yes. He makes you happy most of the time and he does care about you but not to the point of caring more than he cares about himself. If he went into another relationship with someone else while he was in one with you then that means he wasn’t getting everything he wants from you when he was with you thus he went to find it elsewhere. It feels deep, one of a kind, historic and new, real and good, but most of all, it feels like a heavy kind of love. You want to hold on and try harder but he’s not letting you – repetitive disappointments and mistakes. The other nerve wracking thing is that he knows exactly what to say to you to make you feel the way he wants you to feel – he knows you that well. You get confused and hurt when he does the despicable things like he doesn't care. He's everything you basically ever wanted from a man and no one looks like him and no one does the satisfying little things he does the way he does it, thus it's difficult to leave such a unique person...not to mention you have nostalgic history together. I would open up and tell him everything you REALLY want to tell him before making the hardest and wisest decision to walk away. It is sadly toxic...I wish there was a way to turn back time so you can start over with him the way it is supposed to be according only to your wishes.
Is it normal to love someone, even though they've hurt you badly
