Is it normal to love punk/ emo bands?

Watch MCR music videos and them live, when I saw them is was pretty emo

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this but none of those bands can really be called punk. I'm not ragging on them, but I don't think that punk should really be tagged with them. Also, you're thingy-mabilly is normal.

I'm all about Punk.. fuck emos... Gangster Rap is chill too. Punk and Gangster Rap are the best kinds of music... well pretty much any music that say "FUCK YOU" to authority.

The Ramones:) and Nirvana(Grunge but they had a punk style. Like Alice in chains is grunge but heavier)

try expanding your variety more... I don't really listen to any of those bands you mentioned (way too mainstream pop emo for me), but when the genre of "emo" came to be, back in the mid 80's & early 90's, a lot of the bands that founded the sound (Rites of Spring, Jawbreaker, Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, Texas is the Reason, and many other great bands) are the true holders of the greatest music that the genre "emo" really put out. Compared to the stuff you you hear today, it's much different (much better IMO). But you really should try to broaden your tastes.

Also, if you saw me in public, you wouldn't think i listened to any emo. i listen to all sorts of music, because i believe that people who seclude themselves musically to only one genre are unfortunately selling themselves short in life and how much enjoyment music can offer to them.

Yeah I listen to it as well. Sometimes I take a break from it though and listen to other stuff, but not rap I HATE RAP!
