Is it normal to love my close friend like she's family?

I have a close friend that I love with all my heart and wish she was my family, and even more than some of my family members that I either don't know or am not on good terms with. It's not in a romantic way, I've just always wished I had a twin or a twin-like bond with someone, so that's the type of love I have for her. I consider her family and wouldn't ever stop being friends with her no matter what. Also, I love her just as much as I would if she was really my family. And I would protect her with my life. Is that weird or normal? I'm a female, if that matters.

Many people have shit families they don't even like. Surround yourself with positive people and allow them to be your family. Too many people ignore people that they care about while standing up for scum that's related to them just because they share relatives.

That's a precious feeling, and it's normal. You surrounded yourself with people who you truly love and who also love you back. and that's what matters.

My bestie is so close that we actually call each other's parents mom. We treat each other like blood sisters.
