If he's hurt you that much then what would stop him from doing it again. If he could hurt you in the first place then he clearly didn't see how much it was hurting you so he could do it again and not even care.
Yeah some people can change and if you truly believe that then you'll do fine. i don't hate my bf but he gets on my nerves sometimes that's the way it is. you can't get along with someone 24/7. it's not how life works.
