    A plastic bag also featured in the spoof "Not Another Teen Movie" (which I managed to watch about half of the other day).

    In that case, an inflated plastic bag permanently hovered over the shoulder of the parody of the geeky boy next door in "American Beauty".

    Not as magical, but mildly amusing.
