I just found out my 16 year-old sister lost her virginity to her boyfriend, who has since dumped her. Losing it at 16? 16??? please tell me that isn't normal now.
Um if u lost your virginity at age 8.... Theres something wrong with you and your momma and daddy didn't pay much attention to u when u were little, unless you lost it to your daddy!! I'm guessing so.., poor girl :(
To the people who all said it's normal. Your nothing but a bunch of skanks and whores. At the age of 16 you should be only kissing and the most french kissing with your friend. In today's day and age, if you make it to 16, that's good! It's very sad how young people rush into things, like sex. I know a lot of people who were like 12-15 who lost their virginity :( (Not me though!!! lol)
Its normal. I think 16 is the youngest you should start having sex. I agree with hotchickie though. Kids are doing sexual things waaaaay to early in life. I was 16 and, like, the very last of my friends to lose my virginity. Its sad, really. Just because your starting, repeat, starting to mature, it doesn't mean that you are mature enough for sex. Its just nuts. This past school year where I live, an 8th grade boy got a 6th grade boy to give him a blow job for a cigarette. What's this world coming to??
I think they both have to be the exact same age and have parental permission to do it, unless they are over 16. I doubt either of then had parental permission.
I lost mine at 16, and i thought I was a bit behind the times, but out of my close friends, I'm the only one who has... though a lot of my acquaintances have and did so around 14-15 year old mark I'd say, so 16, thats about average I'd say these days
i was 13 and most kids nowadays are about 14-15 so no its not normal congratulate your sister for being slightly less of a whore than most of the stupid little girls out there
Latest study I saw shows 16 is average with about 15 percent having sex by 14 and 26 percent by 15.
I think it interesting that as the legal age of consent in the US has gone up (years ago it averaged 14, now it's 17) the age at which people have sex has been going down.
Unless you're Amish, I don't know why you'd eve think it that odd for her to lose her virginity at that age, especially if you're a sibling.

16 was pretty normal 30 years ago, be glad she didn't start experimenting when she was 12.

yea i lost mine at 16, kinda still felt like i rushed it though. but ive known alot of girls who lost their virginity from ages 11-15. really sad they couldn't hold onto teir innocence
also i'm pretty sure the lagal age is 16, but I'm in New Zealand, it may be different where you are
Yes, it is normal...they start teaching safe sex and/or abstinence in sixth grade (around age 11) as a preventative for diseases and teenage pregnacies...you should speak to your sister and make sure she is ready to embark on a sexual path because once you start you seldomly stop...just explain everything that goes along with sex...I started at 13 and I didn't have my first orgaism until I was 26...lol so clueless...
22 and to be honest, i see nothing wrong in losing it earlier. sex is fun. if i had started earlier, i may have had more chance to experiment.
It is "normal" to lose it whenever one loses it. Lots of girls (and guys) have lost it earlier than even that, including my wife and I. To paraphrase a bumper sticker I've seen - "Sex happens!" So do STDs and unwanted pregnancies, when people practice it carelessly, but that too is life.
