Is it normal to lose attraction to a man?

Is it normal to start finding a man less attractive when he starts to get too familiar?
For example, a couple has been together for a while and the man starts to lose his manners (in the home). He farts, burps, picks his nose, talks about going to the bathroom to 'fire one off,' just in general lets it all hang out. In spite of subtle hints and suggestions, he just won't put any effort into his appearance either. Don't get me wrong, he's clean. He just prefers to hang out in his pj's or comfy shorts unless he has to leave the house. He only shaves when he has to.
Am I just being too critical or is it normal to feel a little turned off?

You have to love him for who he is but I DO understand losing some attraction because of his habits. I actually feel the same way about my partner. I may not be crazy about her bad habits but I'm still wild about her as a "whole". You were honest in sharing with us and I believe your feelings are totally normal. Try to look past them ok?

  • maybe you're just dating jerks... playing nice guys just to get to the bed with you.

You're superficially attracted to him. If you really loved him, those things wouldn't matter. In fact, you'd probably love him more for them.

If it bothers you now it will kill you later. Find someone that's civilized.

If all that is bothering you then you don't love him. Move on and stop wasting his time.

It's wrong that your not talking to him about it. Talk to him and honestly tell him how you feel.. If he doesn't change up his actions then, you have no choice to continue loosing attraction and eventually separating.

I like to be comfortable in my house, I'm not wearing jeans and nice shirts or dress shoes. But ... The farting , the carelessness don't like , I don't like to hear my girl farting or looking dirty or messy. To me that is a turnoff . Or the gaining weight just because we r together and u have to love me... Bs....

You're being too critical. Should I demand my wife wear the low cut tops and high heels she wore when we were single? When you love someone, you love them no matter what they are wearing. And if he talks about firing one off in front of you, it's because he's comfortable around you. Lighten up.

Sounds like you're a bit picky don't cha think? It doesn't matter what a guy wears in his house, he can go naked if he wants. If he can't burp, fart, or pick his nose at home, then where can he possibly do it at? Give him a break.

well you dont know guys very well do you. guys dont "get" subtle hints. you need to tell them straight out what you want but seriously, who cares what they wear in the house. do you want him to wear a suit around the house just to please you? he has the right to be comfortable in his own home. i think you are extremely controlling and very judgmental. he wont put ANY effort into his appearance?? what a ridiculous thing to say especially since straight after you said he changes his clothing before he leaves the house. you are an awful person and i would hate to be your partner. pretty much every guy is like that. please dont tell me that you are one of those chicks who gets up early just to put make up on so your partner doesnt have to see how hideous you are.
