is it normal to look forward to death and being buried in my grave?

    • I assume you are referring to;"When you are dead, you are dead!"?
Well, let me put it this way, then. Are you willing to bet this life against the remote possibility of a next one?
It's a pretty bad bet and I for one wouldn't take it. It is just foolish to waste this one.
There is not one single incidence of factual evidence that anything exists after death, since we began to walk upright and became a reasoning species. That's quite a few millennia in which one would think if it was true, there would be just one tiny piece of factual evidence. There have been innumerable attempts to "communicate with the other side" by reputable investigators and scientists, all also ending in failure.
So it seems that all the wishing in the world will not make it true. Be reasonable and enjoy the hell out of this life and if another does exist, you'll get a two-fer. If there was a god, don't you think that's he'd want you to do?

      • and there is not one single incidence of factual evidence to say otherwise, whilst there have been people who have actually been to the afterlife and came back and spoke about it, and people have actually seen ghosts, and even have been "in the shoes" of a loved one who has recently died and discovered the final secret.

        • The "afterlife" those people went to was their brain shutting down and chemicals being released.

People see weird things in the dark, especially when they're tired and even more so when they're grieving.

The last thing you said isn't even a thing...

        • If there was factual evidence of what you say above it would be in museums like the Smithsonian. There has never been credible evidence of ghosts or that anyone has ever come back from death, beyond the short near death experiences; if there was it would be world wide news, not the rantings of some kook. Believe what you wish, but your believing in something does not make it factual There is no definitive proof of what you claim.

          • Hi Thegypsysailor,

You wrote "There has never been credible evidence of ghosts or that anyone has ever come back from death, beyond the short near death experiences;"

There actually is one who came back from the dead after three whole days so He can tell us all about it. You can read about it here--
