I have recently told all friends and relatives that Im no longer prepared to buy into the whole Christmas nonsense and have been surprised by the aggressive nature of some of the responses.
I feel the same way... It's mainly commercial BS. I wish we didn't have to buy people all of this crap on Christams and instead gave them hugs or made cakes or cookies for them... That would truly bring out a happy, honest spirit in people I think, rather than MacBook Pros and Playstation 2s...
christmas is only what you make it. we chose to make it about family and friends and enjoying each others company and just generally having a good time. im sorry that you cant find any positives in christmas. what do you think christmas should be about? try celebrating it that way instead of not at all. dont be the one sitting in the corner, sulking, while everyone else is having fun.
Bah, humbug. I don't blame the Grinch for stealing Christmas. Mindlessly happy people are irritating. But, that littlest "who" was a heartthrob.

Yes, I don't like Christmas either. It's fun when you were a kid but now it's all just about gifts. People are forgetting what it's all about. It all has to be politically correct.
