dude i grew up with straight ramones. they were punk and you really could'nt even find the records without some effort. then green day came along and got that airplay and popularity the other punk bands did'nt. i liked them then hated them. later on i realized they were pretty good. the popularity blows my mind and that's a turn-off. if you can get beyond that, it's a good thing. i wonder if people felt that way about the clash back in the day. they would play big stadiums and sell a zillion records. now thats a fav of mine. clash and strummer solo stuff. but yeah i've heard a few people grooving to green day and they were'nt out to impress anybody. so it's good tunes. i'll admit that. the other punkers would probably wonder what i was on. but i don't care. thats part of being punk is not caring.
Is it normal to listen to green day alot.
