I'd say normal, just be careful with the friend. Don't be forward or intrusive about her. I was on the other side of this: the brother of a hot, older sister all guys, including my friends, wanted. They'd sometimes be direct about what they wanted to DO to or with her, but mostly, try to get info from me they could use with her. I knew none of them had a shot, but, she did eat up the attention and knew I talked about her with them.
Thanks for the perspective. I'm just worried since this is his younger sister he'll be more protective. Even if I don't pursue it, I'm afraid he won't be able to look at me the same.
He is super protective with her? Do you have a history of using women or being nice to them? Does he know the kind of guy you are?
I'd say you're all set. Go for it. That is if she agrees to go out with you. Would kind of suck if you talked to him and then asked her and she said no. Might be weird all around, but you'll never know if you don't try.
I have no history with women basically. I've never even been on a date, but he definitely knows I'm not the type of guy to use anyone, let alone his sister. He's protective, but I think he'd probably be more uncomfortable with it than angry. The thing is I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me anyway, and then everything would become needlessly weird for no benefit.
It should be fine. Guys with sisters know, at some point, their friends are going to look and have interest. Just happens. Mine was very outgoing, hot, and, as she drove when we didn't, took us places, so, my guys had more time around her than others who I didn't hang out with. Gave them more opportunity to lust after her, then later, get info from me about her.
Funny, my friends were a variety of personalities. One, the shy guy who my sister had fun even mildly flirting with, one the stud-wannabe who'd ogle and eye her up so blatantly even I'd tell him, dude.., and other the more intelligent, try the smart approach with her. She took me to work one afternoon and we were chatting about them, and she joked "And what's with that Mike? He's always staring at my boobs and making comments..Tell him he couldn't handle me". And I did.
Oh, she knew all the time, and did play it up. The three of us were swimming in the one guy's pool, and, as my car at the time was getting worked on and inspected, she picked me up. Wasn't there ten seconds before the "Come on in, join us" requests started. I'd egged them on by telling them she often wore her bikini (tiny and black, which she layed out to tan in) under her already-short jeans shorts and tank top. That really got them going.
If she wasn't short on time, she may have joined us, but, also said, in joking "Those guys would have me stripped immediately, wouldn't they? Told her, yep..No question.
Is it normal to like your best friend's sister?

Haha that's pretty funny. Seems like she had a good time playing with the situation.
